Joy and Caique had a Brazilian, African, ethnic, American, artsy, and fun/free themed wedding at the CAM Raleigh, Contemporary Art Museum in Raleigh. They both love art and wanted a venue that was non-traditional like their wedding/style, so the CAM was the perfect backdrop. Joy chose kelly green along with a vivid and very colorful pallet like Bahia, Brazil.
“Omg, this has made my day!! This video is all that I envisioned and more!! I have watched it over and over, and I am in LOVE!! Thank you so much, it is perfect and I cannot WAIT to share!!! Your team is awesome!”…Joy, Bride
During her travels to Brazil, she went to see the world renowned Black ballet, Bale Folclorico in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. She noticed Caique, and was immediately stricken and found him to be such a beautiful sight. But, no words were exchanged. As they were about to exit the venue, she heard the most distinct, accented version of “You Are So Beautiful” being sung to her. She saw the world’s most gorgeous smile as he warmly greeted her, and he had her at “hello.” The rest is history!
Caique organized a day with Joy’s parents and one of her friends on a beautiful, fall Sunday at their beloved Duke Gardens in Durham, North Carolina. During the tour of the gardens, Caique pulled out his computer to present this montage video of their history together playing to the tune of Bruno Mars, “Marry You.” When the video ended with “You Are So Beautiful” (which he sung to her when they first met), he got down on one knee with the ring in hand and asked her to marry him.
