Fearrington Village Wedding | Vickie + Ben

The Meeting…
Vickie opted not to go on a “first date” (a.k.a. a day-long snow-shoe-expedition) that Vickie’s sister set up. Luckily, that same week Vickie’s co-worker realized that she was good friends with Ben’s then roommate and was planning on going to Ben’s Super Bowl party. Vickie decided that a Super Bowl party was a much more appropriate venue for a meeting than snow shoeing, and decided to tag along.

The Proposal…
It was their 3 year anniversary. Ben told Vickie that he had dinner reservations but that he wanted to grab a drink first. He told her to meet him at the High Line, an old elevated train track that has been converted into a pedestrian walkway/greenspace where they love to walk. As the sun was setting, Ben proposed. Vickie blacked out and doesn’t really remember anything. Luckily, Ben booked a room at the hotel that overlooks the spot where they got engaged so they went there to have champagne, call their families and regroup. Afterwards they went to watch some music at a bar overlooking the city and then to their favorite restaurant in the hip East Village neighborhood. As his smoothest move, Ben had Vickie’s boss book a fake meeting for the next morning (they got engaged on a Wednesday) so they were able to sleep in, get brunch, and enjoy their first morning as an engaged couple together!

“Hi y’all! I mean what do we even say back to this. Ben and I landed out of town at a friends wedding and ran to our room to watch the video – about 20 times. We cried, sent it to our parents, watched it over the phone together – they cried and all of us have been watching it on repeat ever since. We don’t know how to thank you guys enough. You are so, so talented and amazing people to boot. This is beyond our wildest expectations. We love it we love it we love it! Thank you guys so so so so much!”…Vickie, Bride

There is not a better team than Heart Stone Films from both a personality and talent standpoint. They get to know you as a couple and create a story through film that makes you feel they have known you for years. They are storytellers, artists, and creators – not videographers – this is what sets them apart from others who just edit film. I give Heart Stone my highest reco – I could not love a team more than I loved them. You will be lucky if you can get them!!
