Marriage Takes Three
When Amelia and Rob started dating, the first place they went was the Biltmore and fell in love with it. The groom built their home and is very into architecture and old historical sites. They wanted a destination wedding since she is a native of NC and he is a native of NY, and they chose the Biltmore since it’s one of their favorite places and held a special meaning. They invited 15 members of their family to a private ceremony in the Butterfly Garden. After losing her sister a year ago the bride chose to have a private ceremony just for their family, she honored her sisters memory by hanging a picture of her sister on her bouquet. Being from strong Christian families they wanted a rustic theme where Christ was in the details, everything was DIY and held a deep meaning. Amelia’s wedding ring was specially made from one of her mothers old rings, she wore her grandmothers necklace, they hung a string of pictures of the family members that couldn’t be there and called it “the ties that bind”. Amelia’s bouquet was lily of the valley because it is her birth flower. Her back tattoo is a dedication to her sister and her personal relationship with Christ, the main focus of her tattoo is a weeping cherry tree because one was planted in memory of her sister and she chose a dress that featured it beautifully. One fun fact they both love is that the groom wrote in his high school yearbook when he was asked where he will be in 10 years; “Married to a southern belle” which has always been funny to them as NY and NC came together. The opening reading “Marriage Takes Three” is one of their favorite poems that tied their story together perfectly. We wanted to create a film that tied all of the moments, memories, and details that were special to Amelia, Rob, and their families together.
Amelia + Rob, First of all we have to say that we just love you both so much. I have a flood of emotions every time I watch your film, I laugh, cry, smile and repeatedly say out loud, “aww I just love her”. We are so glad to have met you both and shared in this experience with you! We wish you the best!”…Toni + Chris
