Carolina Inn Wedding | Lan + Kenny

The Meeting…
They went to the same high school but did not ever meet. He was a year older than her and their paths never crossed. She didn’t know his name but thought that this older guy was really cute. He apparently also thought she was cute when he saw her during a school event. They started hanging out in college through a mutual friend, started talking more, and did a few dinners together.

The Proposal…
It was a “normal” Saturday afternoon, they just got back from a bike ride. She was looking at the mirror and commented on how much she liked her new haircut. She suddenly got the idea to go through old photo books to compare hairstyles…a little bit of background, Kenny makes Lan a photobook and gives it as a gift on every anniversary, it chronicles their adventures/experiences during that year….She went through a few books and he very casually handed her a new book. She was pleasantly surprised but didn’t think anything of it (she figured he was being sweet for their 3 1/2 yrs anniversary). The book went in chronological order through their relationship with very sweet commentary on the bottom of each page. The very last page of the book was a picture of a Tiffany box. She give him a confused look…she still had no idea what was going on. He pulled out the box, asked if she wanted to take off the ribbon, she did. She’s still thinking that this must be an anniversary gift..maybe earings? He pulled out the black box and when he opened it she screamed “ARE YOU SERIOUS! Oh my god!” We hugged for a few minutes before he could even ask her.
