The Cotton Room Wedding | Shannon + Ryan

The Meeting…
They met at a mutual friends house after a Carolina Hurricanes v. Pittsburgh Penguins play-off game in Raleigh. They had some beers and played some card games. Then she and her friends stood them up for breakfast the next morning….whoops!

The Proposal…
It was a hot July night at the RDU Observation Deck. He called her on her way home from work and she was in a horrible mood….the AC in her car was not working and it was 90+ degrees outside. He told her to hurry home and they could go get some dinner together. She was resistant because she was a sweaty mess! When she pulled into the driveway of their townhouse, he was in his car waiting for her. He told her to get in the car and to quit complaining. He drove her to the RDU Observation Deck where they spend a lot of time watching airplanes land and take off. He asked her to marry him in the front seat of his Chevy Trailblazer as soon as he threw the car in park!!! She was so surprised and excited….and obvi she said yes!!!!The Details…
Shannon’s great grandfather worked in the cotton mills in Durham (which she didn’t find out until she was telling her grandma about the place they had chosen)! They incorporated raw cotton into the decor, instead of champagne, they toasted with Chocolate Milk, their favorite!“The highlight film is AMAZING!!!! Thanks for everything!”…Shannon, BrideCrew

I can’t thank Chris, Toni and the whole Heart Stone team enough. They captured priceless memories of our wedding day in a way that felt like I was re-living the day by watching the film. At first, I didn’t think I had the budget for their services, and I’m sure a lot of brides out there worry about the same thing. Here’s my advice: SPLURGE!!! Make it happen. You will not regret it. They were professional, punctual and even got our video done WAY early. Seriously guys, you’re the best of the best!
